My Bio
I am a firefighter/EMT. I enjoy photography almost as much as I do my job, and plan to post pictures of different (staged) emergency scenerios to show what few people will ever see. I love to share the moments from my work that are able to be shared. I enjoy writing as well.

I also work for a railroad company in emergency management. This affords me the opportunity to take pictures of railroad operations behind the scenes. As long as the photography does not interfere with my work or violate laws, I am free to photograph as I please.

Anything else, my email is posted on this page.

Current Residence: St. Joseph, MI

I am finally uploading more. Yay!!! I have shared some of the shots I have snapped recently. One of my plans when I have the time is to do a mass-upload. I have a series of pictures I took during my travels in a major blizzard this winter. Yes, people shouldn't be out driving in a blizzard, but someone has to help those who wreck, get stranded, or otherwise need help. Not all of them were taken from the driver's seat, and those that were taken from that seat were not taken while driving, but it is interesting to see almost 24 hours of snowstorm progression, and what someone sees while out working in it. I am adding new and interesting peop

....Accidents. Sadly this time of year brings out the worst in people's ability to drive. We got a few inches of snow last night. This morning I cleared my driveway, cleaned the snow from my truck, and started clearing snow for the neighbors. I heard the pager going off over the roar of the snowblower, and sure enough, it was an accident on the highway. So I shut down the blower and run home with it in tow. Not wanting to waste the time putting it away, and worried about leaving it alone out in the snow, I tossed it in the bed of my truck, and it rode along with me. I think this is probably the snowblower's first time ever getting to go on a

Accidents

So it has started: The winter accidents. Tonight, it involved several semis tangling on the interstate. No major injuries and no major devestation, but winter is just beginning. Tonight I had to face one of my fears: working mere feet from moving traffic at night. For a brief second the oncoming headlights made me nervous, but I took a deep breath and did what I had to do. On another note, I feel like I have settled in to my ER work well. I feel very comfortable with my job, and I enjoy the people I work with. I also feel like I can make a difference for people. I am also glad I can still do fire and work for the railroad on my time off. My
